Margo is offering over 25 years of experience in Addiction Services and HR Management to support woman in creating meaningful and rewarding lives in recovery. The service is on-line, affordable and effective. Programming is based on the principals established in the successful Hope Program. In Margo's role at Hope Bridge Services she coached hundreds of clients to clarify and reach personal and professional goals that considered the safety and importance of each individual's recovery.

Margo's role at Hope Bridge Services Ltd was supported by her extensive experience in all aspects of business management. She is a strong leader bringing the best out in her team while ensuring the highest ethical standards in program delivery, financial accountability, and collaboration with all stakeholders. 
In her role as Director, Margo was responsible for the executive management of the organization including Program Development, Quality Control, Finances, Funding, Human Resources, Policies and Procedures, Stakeholder Relations, Promotional Programs. Her expertise in: employment consulting, addictions-trauma counselling and project management provides the knowledge base to create and sustain the highly successful Hope Program assisting hundreds of individuals negatively impacted by substance to gain and sustain meaningful employment. 
As a consultant Margo provided training and program development for corporate agencies and social services agencies. She developed a strong network of stakeholders throughout the employment and addiction continuums of service and affiliated government agencies. 
Working with clients directly is Margo’s passion and she believes it’s important for Management to stay current and experienced with the day-to-day work done by her teams. In keeping with these beliefs Margo always maintained a small caseload of counselling and coaching clients. She worked closely with employers and agencies to address on the job concerns and enhance positive employment outcomes.

                         

Addictions/Employment Program Coordinator - Founder of The Hope Program                          

Stenberg College     

1996 - 2003 

After completing an extensive community needs assessment, developed a proposal for The Hope Program to provide employment programming to individuals negatively impacted by substance.  Partnered with Stenberg College to administer the program and once funding was awarded became part of the Stenberg College team, managing all aspects of The Langley, Surrey, Burnaby and North Vancouver Hope Programs.  Also, Designed and delivered addiction and education workshops for Human Services Programming and Employment Counsellors.  Spoke at Aspect and CMA conferences and Network Training Days.

                       

Addictions Treatment Facilitator/Counsellor and Support Worker Positions

Various Organizations:    

1993 - 2006

Worked part-time in a support worker capacity at Homestead and Aurora Women's Treatment Centres from 1993 - 1996. In 1995  began contracting with Sage Consulting (formerly Jackson Murray Consultants) in the delivery of the T.E.A.M and W.E.L.L Programs funded by the Provincial Government and delivered at a variety of locations throughout Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. (Continued to contract with Sage though to 2006.) 

 

Contract Division Manager   

ADIA Canada  

1988 - 1992

Responsible for managing all corporate and government accounts in the Vancouver Office.  Responsibilities included: Recruitment and selection, project implementation and management,  promotion, marketing and business development. At any given time the Contract Division was actively staffing and managing up to 20 very diverse projects, some with highly skilled staffing needs. Project scale varied from 5 - 30 employees.  Overall, the division was responsible for a pool of 300 employees.

2002 - Commissioned by The Women's Hospital - Aurora Women's Treatment Program. 

A Guide to Woman on how to develop recovery compatible career plans. Subject matter included: planning, when to start, understanding employment services in BC, job search strategies, career decision making, pre-employment programs, benefits of training and education, education, training, skill enhancement, wage subsidy, work-based training, finding funding and additional information for survivors of abuse.
